Famous Violin Wizard   L.Athira Krishna   gave a Stunning Concert at LE ROYAL MERIDIEN , Chennai on 29th May ,2009.

Her Stunning Music was soul stirring and the evening was mesmerising in her musical virtuosity.

Her fingers spoke a divine language on her violin that was sublime,serene and amazingly dazzling.Though very young ,the music that flowed was of a very high callibre ,resulting in a heartwarming ambience.

With a brilliant band comprising  Neil Roberts on the Bass Guitar , Jain on Tabla , Sunder on Drums and Percussion ,Athira Krishna  was poetic in her Performance.

As if made for the Violin,she moved on from ragas to ragas and carnatic to western classical and jazz and a wide range of musical influences ,that many times if one closes his eyes it was a brilliant musical mosaic of world music genres.

 Athira Krishna stole the evening with her commanding musical range and brilliant performance.The Concert was divided into two parts featuring Carnatic classical Music in the first Leg of the Show and Global Fusion for the Second Part comprising Athira’s own compositions portraying various global music styles..

Her Compositions were jewels of the Show..each one was special and augmenting the audience’s appreciation.Besides giving the audience an exposure to a wide range of musical styles from Carnatic to Jazz to Western , Folk , Latin , Blues ,Irish ,MiddleEastern to African Music , Athira also obliged to play some choices of the crowd .

By age, she is too young, but shows all the fire of a genius – a great Violinist and Composer of the Future.

The audience were left in a dazzled state ,wanting more ,with tears in eyes .It was a Magical evening ,Enchanting to the Core .Indeed the Fiddler”s Friday.
